I did a snow ride in the last week of December. Went up HWY 9, rode through Saratoga Gap, skipped Longridge due to seasonal closure, Grizzly Flat and down Indian Creek. SG was covered with snow, ice and puddles of water. Not a bad ride except ice makes for interesting mix with technical single track. 
It was a fun ride and passing through snow covered trails was a treat. Also Indian Creek was so clear, surrounded by moss and growth.
